Loaded slide gloves are definitely hard to compete with. Especially with the vegan friendly gloves. Their only other competitor besides local gloves are Sector 9 in my honest opinion and these two have been going at it for some time, and to be truthful, if you asked me to pick, I really couldn't they both put out a quality glove and it's all down to what you prefer. Loaded's glove are super breathable and ride super smooth and I've never had a problem with hanging up or the gloves tearing. If you've never owned a pair, go with the loaded freerides or even the races and never look back, the breath ability alone is enough reason to buy them but with the full coverage pucks and smooth sliding UHMW Loaded's are my go-to's.

Loaded slide gloves
Loaded longboard race gloves
Loaded's Race gloves are definitely a touch pricy but they are more than worth your money for what they are. They're made from high quality goatskin leather that's super wear resistant and comes with carbon knuckles in case you rag doll or for when you're doing early grabs. It's reinforced with leather in places that are prone to tearing and has a breathable mesh top along with an internal wicking fabric.
These gloves also have high molecular weight pucks, which is really just a fancy word for reallllly slidy pucks, that won't catch on the pavement, wear evenly and slowly, and above all aren't going to hinder you when cornering/drifting. Lastly, they have an ergonomic shape for the most flexibility possible which is actually quite a concern in a lot of gloves lately but these, although being the most expensive of our gloves, if you're wanting a set of high performance gloves look no further.
Loaded longboard freeride gloves
The Loaded gloves are awesome for those that do A LOT of freeriding or just want them because they're 100% vegan and contain no pvcs. They're kevlar reinforced at all of the parts prone to ripping, or tearing. They comes with UHMW slide pucks that slide MUCH easier than conventional plastics. Also, they have thumb pucks and a barred finger for full coverage when sliding meaning nothings going to catch up when you're sliding and you're not going to have to worry about your fingers or thumbs getting chewed up. Also, they're super breathable and you don't have to worry too much about nasty hand sweating compared to fully sealed leather gloves (ugh). If you're looking for a pair of REALLY awesome freeride gloves these are honestly the best for the price in my opinion.
Sector 9 gloves
Sector 9 gloves besides being the ultimate safety gear in my opinion, we have gloves in all price ranges, and the higher the price the more for your money, They unlike most glove brands have taken their gloves through plenty of trail and error and I think, especially recently that they've really hit the nail on the head. They last longer, and slide smoother, which makes your slide more consistent and will keep you from locking up and making your slide unsafe/fail. Also, a smoother slide means a longer lasting glove as there's less friction, check out all of our sector 9 gloves and get to hittin' some hills!
Slide gloves
Well if you don't already own a pair of these and you plan on getting into freeriding, even if all you want to do is bust fat standies, you're going to end up on your falling on your hands and ground up hands and nothing to balance the pressure from falling out can cause serious harm to your hands, arms, and shoulders. Although they're a bit pricy, but they're definitely cheaper than a hospital visit. And hands down slides are sooooo much fun I couldn't imagine taking my DH runs without my slide gloves to drift corners and bust out a steezy coleman every now and then.
Like I said though if you don't already own a pair, even if you're not planning on wearing a helmet, or pads. Above ALL else, at least throw on some gloves, they've saved me from more sticky situations then if I didn't have them, and learning to utilize them will save you more than any helmet or pads of any sort.
